Our Name and Logo:

| Simply put, we love Oriental Rugs! As we have shopped for them ourselves in the past,
we always wanted a site where we could see how the rug would look on our floor and next
to our painted walls BEFORE we purchased it and brought it home. We've taken paint chips
and material swatches to rug stores and wondered how we could do the same when shopping
online (where the choice is larger, easier to see and visit, and the prices are much lower).
So we created this site (in partnership with the premier online rug suppliers in North
America) to make it easy for others to "try before you buy" when it comes to
high quality, handmade Persian Rugs. If you feel the need to take a closer look, to scout
out your rug choices before you buy, we hope you use our site!

Our Ownership, Identity and History: |
| RugScout.com was launched in August of 2005, operating at first as a Sole
Proprietorship from the home of owner and founder, Patrick Grady. As RugScout grew, it
was moved into small, shared commercial office space.
By June 2008, RugScout had completely outgrown the old shared office and was moved
into a dedicated office in Winter Park, Florida.
In May 2009, RugScout, Inc. was incorporated as a Subchapter S Corporation in the
state of Florida.
Today, RugScout is still a family owned business, but we've hired outside accountants,
programmers, graphics artists, data specialists, support representatives, shipping
assistants, web server security experts and others to build out the RugScout team.

| We have just one goal. Make it easy for you to find a rug that fits you - your room,
your tastes, the size of your space and your budget.
Goals are great and we demand a lot from ourselves, but we also like to have
some fun.

Our Stance On Email Spam: |
| We detest email spam and any other deceptive marketing techniques - we're people, just
like you. We sometimes think pop-up window advertising and email spam was invented to be
aimed just at us personally - we get tons if it and we think it stinks. We also believe
that it's ineffective and annoying - we never use it. We dislike email spam so much that
our own internal bylaws have a no-newsletter, no-email-list, no-sign-up, no-opt-in,
no-email-collection, no-unsolicited-emails-sent clause in our charter. We're not here to
annoy - our goal is EXACTLY the opposite of that. Our contact forms ALL have the email
field as an optional field - we only need your email included if you are requesting a
reply - and the only use of your email is for us to reply. We also have a strict privacy policy because we believe that stealing information
is just like stealing money - it's a crime and it's wrong.
